I came from 8.0 and did a clean install and also cannot get fingerprints to work. Should I have first reverted to 7.0?

I'm having an issue with GPS - it locks fast and works fine for some time, but after some time (roughly 10 minutes), it loses all satellites. It's especially annoying when navigating, for example with Waze. Anybody else with the same issue? Usually a restart works, but maybe somebody has an idea...

I think that my battery is also in bad shape - with MIUI (MIUI.eu for example), the battery goes from 100% to 0% as it should, but I only get 2h SOT at max. With any other ROM, I get the same SOT, but the phone turns off with 30-40% of battery left.

There seems to be a bug with the brightness slider - it only works half-way. If you slide it to 50%, it actually maxes out. Sliding further does nothing.

Any recommendations regarding notifications? The bluetooth connection with Watch Helper app is crap, it holds connection only until the first disconnection (for example - I go too far from the phone). After that, I have to restart the watch to get the connection back. M2D is also not too stable...

What's currently the best ROM in terms of everyday usage for an average non-tech user? I gave my S3 to my GF, but with RC2 the front camera is awful and the back camera is quite crap also. Should I go back to 4.4?
