Mutitasking is virtually impossible. I usually have an app with videos, a PDF reader and the browser open and when I try to go back to either one the tablet had to reload them. Is there a setting/something that can be changed to improve this?

What you wrote made me remember I used to own an HP Spectre 2 in 1 laptop. I could never get the "tablet" mode thing because it behaved nothing like what I would expect from a tablet.

I'm using what I think is a clone of the official cover (Amork). There isn't one with my language layout as far as I know (Portuguese) and this one was sold with the Mediapad on major retailers. The problem I have is that I can't type anything with it. Had to move to my PC to write this post...

I will. Just saw on your sig you also own a S5e. How's that one? Something very wrong there, yes! The M5 still sounds better in that aspect though, I never turn it off and I think it drains quite a lot less than that. Probably because it is very aggressive with RAM, radios and app management...

Thanks for that! I've been reading some horror stories here, especially about stand by time. 50% drain over night :eek: I guess one would read about the bad experiences and not so much when everything is ok though... The Surface is off my list though, too big and heavy and I could get a laptop...

Bluetooth is connected to the car, it has all the permissions on... the car sees the phone as soon as I turn the key. BTW, I know the car is compatible and other owners that I've talked to are able to get android auto running without a problem. That's what is odd about this.

I've tried the debugging mode only and no go. There are other options though, like "Always prompt when connecting to USB", that one is on and I assume it means asking what USB does? Is that the one you had in mind?

I can't connect my phone to my Peugeot 308 II Sw but I'm sure I'm missing something. I've tried several cables, including the original one from the charger. As soon as I touch the Android Auto icon on my car, the phone asks about what to do with the USB connection and insists on charge only...

Huawei has so many models that they stop giving you uptades over a while, save maybe for flagship phones. And with Google cutting Huawei off, it remain to be seen how things will go. I think they'll still update the M5 to 9.1 but I doubt they'll support it beyond that. BTW, I've seen the S6...

Hi Steve, I had a Galaxy Tab S3 that got stolen along with my luggage so I bough what was avaliable and it was the M5 Pro. Very happy with it, even the screen the LCD screen is very good (so used to amoled by now, has been years since I had an LCD). I mainly use it for for PDF textbook reading...

For anyone getting the notification on HiCare, update the phone by clicking there first. It will download something and only then will the full update show up on phone settings/software update. At least that's how mine was.
