try flashing rom with gapps, i too had this prob but flashing gapps micro 7.1.x parallely with the latest custom roms: RR, ViperOS and InvictaOS, i solved this prob! Hope it works for you too! ^_^

no, you can not stay on previous google services with all google apps working correctly but u can use ur battery for longer period of time by using "stop all" option in taskmanager when not using your device on the move!
