I don't do this everytime a oneui rom is published. In fact this is my first time saying that. It's just that there was a previous oneui rom published but it was found soon that it was kanged. So yeah

You're extra right. I've tried before resurrection remix pie with a non working HWC and, guess what, that means when you lock your phone the GPU will be consistently working to process the color of black! I left my phone and went to sleep. I woke up with the phone's battery almost dying.

If you're trying to install a pie GSI *that is based on LineageOS*, then the GSI kernel isn't going to work. You will need to use the oreo version of this kernel. GSI's that are based on lineageos include lineageos, resurrection remix, etc... but NOT something like phh aosp
