Folks, this tablet does not have HDMI out. Even when it's possible to root it, that won't help.

Guitardave, I totally take your point about the screen not being capable of displaying the full res of 1080p. But for me that's kinda like saying theres no point watching Bluray on an HD Ready (720p) tv because it can't display the full resolution. I don't really want to spend hours transcoding...

I found the same issue. A 1080p mkv that plays smoothly on my SGS2 phone stutters awfully on the tablet. I've tried all the suggested video players without success. I'm very disappointed. I hope it's just a SW issue that gets resolved in an update.

I got my desire yesterday and the music plays back over bluetooth to my headunit without any problem. I'd suggest re-pairing.
