Good tip, Thanks. I was unaware they automatically optimized the apps for battery in the update. what a pain in the a$$. Ive changed the setting for messenger and telegram, Ill report back if i see an improvement.

Has anyone else experienced sporadic notifications since updating to 8.1? Unrooted, and ever since the update, my notifications will only vibrate when the screen is off, but will go audible if the screens on.... or ill get a few hours of normal functionality, then back to whatever it wants to...

So ive finally achieved root with MJ7 when I tried with Win8. Only problem is I tried to replace the SU from kingo. Now every time I try to use Framework or Xanam it says there is no SU binary installed and SU cannot install it. Any suggestions? I know I cant be the only one. Thanks in advance!

I agree. From day one the button has been loose. It doesn't feel good at all. Probably my only complaint on the entire phone...

I was thinking more of inline of just hardware. Ive got a GS3 that bricked, so i was thinking of taking apart and hooking up the screen that way. plus ive got another half dozen phones that arent in use. Didnt know if anyone ever tried it before, seems like such an obvious idea.

Has anyone seen or heard of possibly using an old smartphone touchscreen as a monitor for the pi? Seems like everyone has old spare phones laying around. Maybe the adaptation is too difficult, but thought I'd just put it out there.
