Mine worked fine but I added an extra step to switch Magisk to Core Mode before the first restart. Since it started fine, I installed TWRP from Magisk, switched Core Mode off and everything is fine. Not sure if Core Mode did something or not but wanted to remove as many variables as possible

If you renamed the file recovery.img then the command should be 'fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img'

Yes, L29 and I had checked for an update yesterday morning and System Update reported that I was up to date (192) then last night, I got the notification that a new update was ready to be installed.

I doubt it'll be anytime soon since I just got .197 OTA last night.

It works fine on my LG SJ8500. Does the phone ever ask you to disable Bluetooth?

I'm not sure what I'm missing but can't get the phone to boot into TWRP. I've followed the installation instructions, made sure I didn't mistype anything and even did dd in both adb and term on the phone. No matter what button I press, phone always boots to rooted system. What am I missing?

If you're asking what TWRP is and need a video guide, I don't think this is for you. You're going to end up with a brick.

It means you can download it from the link I posted and install it on your phone. The phone will complain that it doesn't have permission to install from unknown sources but after you enable it, you'll be able to install.
