Just to say I have mine sim unlocked,rooted and bootloader unlocked, going to have a play over the weekend to see how much off the ee stuff I can change.

Just picked one up myself so going to have a play around see if I can get the thing rooted and move on from there.

Right a quick and dirty rom made (ie it works and should be good but it may need tweaking more) get it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/drofhk4o4d4zk0w/cnm9%20root.7z flash it the normal way as its a full rom, i made it bt adding the kernel and recovery from bigdaddy78 and the rest from the 7dc...

Am working on a rooted image, problem being the cnm9 system img is done in ext4 not like the 7 or the 10 both of which are done ext2, most windows tools wont work with ext4, any way i have a working 7 img that i just need to tweak before i release it to the wild.

Have flashed and all is working, great job, have rooted the sys.img so will upload a full image if need be.

I don't think you can, due to the fact the display driver and files are in the kernel and being you can't unpack it or edit it (not that i have found a way) you are kinda stuck with what you have.

I would say it has your details, being as once you flashed it it come up with every thing ready to go, could you not do a reset, just backup the sys.img (which we know will not have you details) upload it and then flash your first sys.img to get it back to how it was, be great if you could as it...

If i get time i will look at the tab firmware and see if i can get that to work, all that its needed is the right drivers for the wifi and bluetooth,

I can do if you like but why not wait till we have a full working image.

I tried the 7 dc one, works but the display is a bit big for my liking, any chance of the system.img from your working 9 being uploaded bigdaddy78?

Yes thats because the firmware on the cnm site for the 9 dc is the for the 10.1 tablet, that's why we have all the problems, 1 thing to try is the 7 dc firmware and see if thats any better. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
