Support for USB Ethernet Realtek r8152 Hi, If by chance you have the opportunity to add Realtek r8152 driver at some point, this will enable support for more USB/Ethernet dongles (on top of earlier ASIX ones), and in particular use of Chromecast Ethernet Adapter, which could be nice (though...

Actually, Advanced menu only has IP, Gateway IP and Netmask. There is no DNS & secondary DNS Advanced setting.

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-flounder-3.48.0.0135.img At restart the tablet asks for the password, and proposes to wipe all data (even if password is correct).

Thanks. Good to know 6.0 Bootloader has now become a new requirement. Guess I will stick to latest stable version K9.4.8 that does not require newest bootloader, because when I install Marshmallow bootloader, I'm required to wipe my data bcs of encryption!... Not prepared to do that yet...

I need to stay on stock for this device. Random MAC seemed pretty common with M Preview actually, event with M Preview kernel on 5.1.1 Still strange it works with one of your kernel and not others: must be kernel related (all rest is unchanged). Can't you check with stock ROM? Will try logcat.

on 9.7.5 is is randomized and changes at each reboot, but remains in 00:90:4C range (00:90:4C:0F:8D:5B now). Same info in Setting/WiFi/advanced/

Thanks. Please refer to this (output of dmesg) K9.4.8: http://pastebin.com/qKQqK1CW K9.7.5: http://pastebin.com/AzywUhec You will note the following line in both cases! <3>Random MAC OUI to be used - da:a1:19 I check MAC address in Settings/About Tablet/Status

MAC Address issue with latest Beta(s) I confirm same issue with K9.7.5. Flipped back & forth between K9.7.5 and K9.4.8, and I confirm only K9.4.8 has proper MAC address. K9.7.5 has fake 00.90.4C MAC address range that is changing at reboot.

USBhost, it seems one of your changes between latest stable K9.4.8 and K9.7.1 (have not tested with most recent) have introduced the well-knowned MAC address issue encountered with Android M Preview kernels: Wifi MAC addresses are fake, starting by 00:90:4C and changing at reboot. This is...

USBhost: would it be possible to add an option for setting DNS manually (like for IP, mask & gateway)? Maybe it's the missing piece in some cases. Thanks.

I too have noted some DNS name resolution issues with my ASUS Tablet with Ethernet App: maybe the thing does not recup proper info from DHCP in some circumstances. Disabling/enabling Ethernet App with UI button ends-up fixing it, but sometimes is a bit cumbersome. EDIT: actually, I flip wifi...

Right. Still, 155Mbit/s is well below USB 2's reasonable 280 Mbit/s (theoritical max 480 Mbit/s): I guess we can't ask too much from theses tablets.... Anyhow updated driver seems marginally better, so good to have. While at it, you may want to update the AX88772 driver too, which is the most...
