I dont know if it will work. Did you try to switch the partitions from A to B or B to A? There are tutorials on how to do that via adb. I cant tell you exactly how to do it, i did it also from tutorials.

Now that you mentioned the unlocked bootloader, i remember having the same issue on my old unlocked LG G4. Back then, also had to sideload the apk.

I just switched from a nokia 7+ to the pixel 3a xl and this update was the first thing it asked for after turning it on. All seems normal for now. Also had no issues with Netflix so far.

Hi, no, i do not have apps from other sources. all are downloaded from the play store. I did consider this but dont like it. I'll prepare myself mentally for a hard reset :eek: i hate this part because of the backup and data loss and evrything. Thanks.

and for those who dont have 'Swipe up on home button active? i never used that option and still have this random unresponsiveness of the screen. Tried it for half an hour in safe mode and it was fine. But then again, i uninstalled an app and it was fine for a day or so and then it started again.

some say it's software. some say it's hardware. I cant tell for sure what the issues is. It happens to me as well. There is another discussion started which includes also this issue, did you try to search?

I also suspect some issue with an app that uses overlay. Sometimes the screen recovers by itself after it does something like a refresh. Do you know by any chance how to reboot into safe mode? Would be interesting to see if it still freezes.

i also have this sudden touch not responding issue. Have to do screen on off for it to work. sometimes several times before it works again. Do you think its a SW issue? I'm on Pie firmware.
