I still have the original version installed.... My Me176CX failed the update both times it was offered. If I am understanding this correctly following the method in the first post should allow me to update without bricking my tablet. correct? p.s.: please excuse any stupidity on my part. :)

I finally got this to work.... I have the Boostmobile CDMA XT1031 variant and I am running Stock 4.4.4.+Xposed. I had to manually set the permissions of that bootanimation file of yours to: rwxr-xr-x.:eek: All that work to get the Android L boot animation to work on stock!:rolleyes:
