As mentioned in you made the mistake, that you installed a android 9.0 stock rom. LineageOS cannot be installed with a android 9 firmware on the phone. To downgrade use the instructions here. Maybe you have to do that for slot A and slot B. Then start with the flashing guide from the beginning...

Which version did you try to install? I know that there are still some problems with encryption with the S5 mini. As you can see some posts before spookcity138 is aware of this problem and will try to resolve it.

I know the different ways of encryption. With Android phones I was used to enter the encryption code manually (motorola and samsung). So I expected the same behaviour with the xa2. If the xa2 uses a more userfriendly way I am happy with that.
