Post [ROM] Unofficial Slim7 for Huawei Y6 [FINAL]

Installed Slim7 on my Y6 SCL-L04 and rooted it by installing Magisk v.14 and flashing the zip from TWRP recovery. Works great. All root permissions granted with no problems.

No need even for that. Just hold the volume up, press power button...keep holding the volume up until you see the first images of the splash screen, then let go of the volume up.

Also, if I just choose to pull down system.img.gz from the tablet to my computer using the toolkit, it only creates a file that is 20b in size, so obviously not even near to accurate. It's essentially an empty system.img.gz.

Trying to Root from Scratch my B1-720 using Ubuntu 14.04 Had some problems early on, then I solved it by manually starting telnet from adb shell. So everything seems to go well until trying to remount the image: [ENTER] Continue [Q] Quit Enter a selection: 2017/01/04 21:34:41: Don't...

One more thing if I could ask of you.... I have another Huawei Y6 SCL-L04 I'd like to try this on. It's almost exactly the same specs, only this other phone has a 1.1 Ghz quad core processor and the first phone we've dealt with had a 1.3 Ghz processor. Here is the statistics of the new phone...

So, installing boottestlo4.img works and I can boot with wifi and USB working, but if I actually install boottestl04.img, I can't boot into the TWRP recovery environment. I can still boot into the bootloader and reflash other boot images and have full control of fastboot,, but I can't boot into...

Okay, thank you for all your help. When I get back home tomorrow after work I will reinstall CM12.1 and boot your image. I will do more extensive testing, including wifi connections like you're asking. Should I bother posting the app_info file from the installation of CM12.1 tomorrow?

Is there any way I can help with any of this in terms of providing more info? Could I install CM12.1 and boot it with this image and run CM12.1 for a whole day (I'll pick a day coming up like Saturday or Sunday when I have a day off from work) and run it as a proper ROM... I of course do full...

Okay...I was successful in booting CM12.1 with the special image you provided me. It booted fine, I was able to see a reading in the battery indicator icon (which read 81%...the true amount of charge that the phone had) I was also able to allow USB debugging and root in the CM12.1 settings menu...

Are you using the dual-SIM version of CM12.1? There are two versions, single-SIM and dual-SIM.

Is there any way to do that without root permission? Because root is not an option on this phone (beyond having root under CM12.1, but that would be pointless, because you need the stock boot image). Thanks for your help so far.
