Thanks for trying, but my screen minimum brightness is already low like I want it, I just don't like that the phone dims to minimum brightness automatically when battery level drains to 5%. There is no way I have found so far to disable that.

Yep, its off. I even tried enabling it then disabling again, just in case... Its not in the build.prop or anywhere else I have looked... Anyone have any ideas?

Edited my last post, you are probably right about not completely draining the battery, certainly not all the time, but extra batteries are cheap, so I don't care, I have my minimum brightness extremely low, so when it dims at 5% if I am anywhere but a dark room I can't see anything...

As I understand them, modern li-ion/li-po batteries are engineered well enough to drain and charge them fully without harm - draining to 50% and charging twice does essentially the same thing to the battery's "lifespan" as draining all the way and charging once. Unless you are wandering around...

Does anyone know of a way to stop the phone from lowering screen to minimum brightness when battery goes under 5%? I asked in the main Q&A thread and no one understood... I have all the battery savings settings turned off, but it still dims at 5%.

I'm assuming you haven't frozen/disabled anything, and your apps are updated in the play store, right? Not trying to insult you, but I have skipped obvious steps and not realized before, so I thought I should ask...

Were you using Xposed modules or anything like that? Any special settings you may have changed? I haven't seen anything like this, so its likely on your end, but tough to say where... Did you dirty flash? That can cause some really weird stuff...

Thread Screen Dim by Battery level

Does anyone have a way to stop the screen from auto-dimming when battery drops to 5%? I am rooted on Eclipse/NC2 ROM, and have spare batteries for emergencies, and this is extremely annoying... Or even change it to only happen at 1% instead of 5%, if it cannot be disabled.... Thoughts? Clues...

Ooh, I have a bug that seems repeatable... When using messenger, and replying to an incoming text directly from the popup text screen, if another text comes in while you are typing, it pops up and erases the text you have already entered, forcing you to re-type what you already wrote. Still by...
