One option, you can use the Nexus Root Toolkit to flash back to stock. http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ But that will erase all your data I believe. If you can get into TWRP you can transfer files from you computer then flash from within, but first check the version and update if necessary.

At least for me, the overlay bug has been fixed in nougat. :D

I don't have a fix, but usually it's one app. For me it was Snap.

~~Does TWRP not prompt you to root? Try going into recovery then rebooting to system and see if it asks you if you'd like root before restarting.~~ Sounds like that's bad advice.

I had my own flicker issue after the recent update. I turned off "Auto Update Location" (or whatever that setting is called) and it seems to be fixed so far.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked, but he prior 1/9 version already had Layers support, right? So if I'm not interested in Layers/CMTE, and just want the other updates, can I flash the Layers version like normal (i.e. only clear cache/dalvik)? Or do both need clean flashes?

I had the same exact issue, followed his advice and it fixed everything.

Does anyone else have issues with MMS messages staying grouped? I can send them just fine, but if the group only contains 3 numbers, all replies go to individual threads. 4+ people and all replies stay within the group. This is not new in the 11/21 release btw. I am using Textra but briefly...

    Post [RECOVERY][shamu] TWRP 3.1.1-0 touch recovery [2017-05-19]

Thanks. I tried deleting it, rebooting into recovery, and running the backup but it just fails again. Then when I reboot the phone I find that the file has returned. I'm going to cross post this in the ROM thread. Thanks! EDIT: I wiped everything but internal storage and reinstalled the ROM...

    Post [RECOVERY][shamu] TWRP 3.1.1-0 touch recovery [2017-05-19]

Hey guys, I'm having the same "E:extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255" issue on my backups. This just appeared in the last couple days because I know I did a backup earlier this week. I've attached the full recovery.log, but this seems to be the relevant portion: Does anyone have a...

    Post [Q&A][Discussion]Cloudyfa's G3 Rom

Hey all, I'm on 3.3 right now and would like to revert back to 2.2. A few questions: Is my TWRP installation fine? Which bootloader/baseband do I need to install? I'm looking at blastgator's offerings here http://blastagator.ddns.net/ Is there anything else I need to know? Most instructions...

Do you have the issue where you get voice service but no data? I got that once right after a reboot but it fixed itself after another reboot, and I haven't seen it again after several more...

I know this user already fixed the issue, but I had the same issue and simply re-flashed the following: - ROM-patch-v1.2-lp30f-d800-blastagator-signed.zip - boot-permissive-lp-d800-devnull-signed.zip I suspect the latter of the two is what I needed, but I went ahead and did both anyways. Boots...
