Just do the WPA_SUPPLICANT2 file, that was the problem for me & several other people on here. It's super easy & only takes a minute.

+1 That's the fix (WPA_Spullicant2) that worked for me. My TF300 just kept saying "Saved" when trying to connect to ad-hoc. Replaced the WPA_Supplicant2 file and all is working well.

Looks like success with the IO scheduler is erratic. I'll watch that thread for a few more days before I take the plunge.

It might be faster to flash recovery & start from scratch. In the future, you might look at Titanium Backup. You can freeze apps without uninstalling.

Well, I identified the file system - EXT4. So that's not the problem. What's the I/O scheduler entail? Is that something that's controlled by the OS? Perhaps a custom ROM or an update from ASUS can fix it?
