Thanks. I got the September OTA but am nervous to accept it. My main fear is that I can not root and have to roll back to the August update. I wish I could just accept the OTA and keep root, build prop edits and SU Hide.

Thanks, I was hoping for an eaiser way, I thought I read somewhere you can unroot via the super user app but the last time I tried it did not work, wasn't sure if I did it wrong. If I am on the Jan patch, can I side load the March patch or do I have to do Feb first?

Pretty sure it is a widget on Action Launcher. The stock launcher would have the weather on the right, not just the date.

I unlocked my bootloader and got a bootloop when I tried to fastboot to root. Would not recognize the device either. I redownloaded SU 3 as suggested in the third post and it worked. Good Luck. I used the fastboot to root method and did not install TWRP...

I wish I would have unlocked my bootloader before updating, should have waited to update. Hopefully there will be a solution in the future.

I lost the ability to use the native Hotspot with my unlimited data plan on Verizon. It appears the update closed the workaround where you could use network refresher and bypass the provisioning check.

That's beat, it's looking like we will need root or at the very least change the build.prop with an unlocked bootloader. I just got the Verizon version, camera and speed is awesome but not sure I can give up my 6P with the tethering.

Has anyone tried to tether on a Verizon UDP with a pixel purchased through the Google Store?

This is not looking good, I wonder if the model from Google will work.

I can confirm my 6P from Google does not perform the check on Verizon and native tethering works on my UDP. I should have my Pixel tomorrow so I will check and see what works, if I can't get Foxfi or the native tether to work it will be for sale or sent back shortly.
