I used the flashy tool from the "how to install android 9 beta" thread. Updated my clt-l09 c782 from 8.1.0.159 to 9.0.0.168 (it did factory reset) from the firmware finder without problem. Oem unlock function is active and working. Haven't done factory reset on pie.

Will you be able to get OTA Updates later? Also is the OEM UNLOCK button in dev options greyed out? Which version you get?

Thanks! Also there is 9.0.0.168 in the firmware finder for clt-l09c782. I might go for it since I ordered my bootloader unlock code, but I'm afraid of all this OEM locking thing going on and maybe I should wait for a version that is comfirmed that doesn't disable it. Just wanted to see what...

I contacted funkyhuawei asking them what version of EMUI 9 they can install on my CLT-L09c782 and they actually said that I should install CLT-L29c432 9.0.163.. which is strange Is that the version you installed.. isn't that gonna rebrand my phone?

I saw that they are offering update through erecovery without unlokcing the bootloader... Hows that possible, did you update by thins method ?
