My phone also said "Unknown" for the status, but I was able to unlock with no problems.

Unlocked, I already had a backup of the TA partition, installed the FOTAKernel, rebooted, restored my Google settings, etc, did the upgrade, and... It worked like a charm. Even booted up in fastboot an older kernel as suggested in an earlier post and installed SU. Camera seems to be working...

Ok- I can't believe I have to ask this but what do I do with the zip file? Does it get loaded thru a customer recovery, which I don't have installed? I have the GPE rooted but that is it.
