No you don't need unlocked bootloader to root. I think I used towel root years ago to root this tablet.

Yes I get this. You have a developer edition? I think it has to deal with kernel amd bootloader, but idk. The multicolor fuzz seems to halpen less frequently for me and sometimes when it happens it doesnt require a battery pull. It will work again after a few seconds.

I tried a clean install on a 900v de (verizon developer edition). I had the signal issues also, so glad to read there is a fix soon. My biggest problem was com.android.phone kept closing every 10 seconds.

Got it running on darklord note 5 rc 2.1. I selected the 900t and flashed as normal. Turned mobile data and it works. I can make calls and receive texts. I have received a call yet. Will test and report back. HOWEVER, I still cant send texts. Any ideas what to do?
