I manually flashed all parts of 5.1.1 through fastboot using factory image. Each step suceeded. I then factory reset to clear. Bootloader is unlocked, oem unlocked, usb developer on. I go through hboot to get to recovery and it goes to the laying down android with the red eclimation point...

There will be internal 5.1.1 builds for testing, which is what everyone is guessing was the 5.1.1 from the same date as the 5.1 release. The finalized one released to devices will almost definitely be a later build date. This is how it has worked in the past so there is no reason to think it...

Even better news... /s The RMA they created for the replacement phone was closed yesterday with no phone being sent. I contacted online who made me call phone support. After calling, they can't find that RMA and the replacement phone IMEI they sent me is NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM. WTF. I don't dare...

Moto Support Rant of the Day Sent in my 64gb Motorola purchased Nexus 6 due to the half screen freezing issue. I happily got my replacement at 9am this morning. I turn the bad boy on and to my amazement they sent me a 32gb. On the phone with the right now. I'm sure they'll make it right...

It resets on 5.1. It stays on 5.0.*. That setting allows you to unlock. Seems several people are being "relocked" after loading 5.1. Idk what this means yet.

Update: Flashed back to 5.0.1 factory and the Allow OEM unlock is persistent through reboots. 5.1 did not for me. Can someone on 5.1 reboot and see if allow stay on for them? I'm wondering if this is the reason people are losing access to flash in fastboot. Maybe a bug...

I factory img flashed to 5.0.1 and sideloaded 5.1 to run completely stock. I enabled Allow OEM Unlock in developer options even though i'm unlocked, out of paranoia seeing what other people are running into. Now the questions... Any one else that has updated, is Allow OEM Unlock staying...

The bloatware will be tied to the SIM card from what i'm reading. Once the phone launches, us who have Moto store/GPE N6, will have the bloat downloaded from play store on initial set up. Keep in mind that the stuff that is downloaded is uninstallable. It's user apps, not system.

For all wondering, Verizon now accurately lists the phone as Blue on the website.

Sorry man, looks like the Rep was right. You can ORDER it, but it won't ship until 3/18/15. Add it to cart on the VZ site. Hate it that the rep was right. I doubt any stores will have stock before they start to ship the website orders either. Hopefully they ship it early to all you guys...

Why do you hate to say you're right? Thats good news for all Verizon people. Hopefully we can get moto and gpe editions whitelisted to make our lives easier! Guess it goes to show that the Moto reps are just as bad as Verizon sales :laugh:

Its all good either way. I have a moto 64gb, just wanted to see if they'd sell me a case yesterday, assuming today is release. If he's wrong, he's wrong., no skin off my back. Just passed along what he said. If it is today, what time do they normally throw phones up to order on the website...
