I think maybe the problem could be with the custom settings that those roms have for the screen rendering.. I would go into the app settings menu (from the system settings app) and wipe the data for the camera.. Once you do that make sure you have the default setup inside the camera app...

It sounds like the sd card is either corrupted or partitioned improperly.. On a windows system,, you can easily format it with the correct fat32 partition.. Sent from the Bottom of My Ice Cold Lump of Coal..

hi.. ive had this problem before on a few different roms.. one thing i usually do is go into settings and disable all of my network and broadcasting options,, then boot the phone into recovery.. after i reboot,, everything is usually ok.. same for my mobile network..
