I'm re-packaging my web service api library from Android to cross-platform, I notice that I've used a lot of AsyncTask ... I wonder how do I dodge using this Android-specific method by replacing with something more common, and would run perfectly in Android as well.

Sony got to throw resources into this porting effort Yeah, I would agree with your point, ICS performance-wise is no doubt far better than Gingerbread (not to mention Jelly Bean), but I don't see it in the last ICS Beta on my Xperia Play ... the reason being ... may be lack of good driver...

My Xperia Play works like a charm ... Marvelous, works like a charm. Some remarks, it's weird enough that I got some driver problems on my Win7 Machine, but not my Macbook Air (OSX 10.8). It works, the recovery boot image were fascinating, loved it ... will test more with this ... :)

I've got my official ics beta rom on my Play, playing games like GTA3, freeze the phone, and i have to hard reset (remove battery). really serious issue, now is it Sony fault or GTA3 maker's fault? Note: GTA3 is definitely not ICS optimised, this is for sure. Sent from my R800i using XDA

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04, my "fastboot" were not able to detect my Desire, even tough "adb" does. Anyone has any idea why this is happening? I got my "fastboot" from HTC Developer Phone site.
