Post [Q] root Dell Venue 10 5000 Series

http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096 This is the step by step for the tethered root for Intel devices. If you have never rooted a device before, I recommend a full stop. I received my Venue for free from Dell as a business rewards...

    Post [ROM][SHAMU][Marshmallow 6.0.1]Cataclysm for Nexus 6[Jan 05 - Stable]

I must be blind. :o LOL Settings > Display > Ambient Display I don't suppose "volume keys follow rotation" is equally as blindingly obvious?

    Post [ROM][SHAMU][Marshmallow 6.0.1]Cataclysm for Nexus 6[Jan 05 - Stable]

Seeing that atl4ntis has a Cataclysm build for N6 was a driving factor on me picking one up last week. That and the crazy price drop for the N6 plus my Nexus 5 selling way faster than expected. Anyway, here is a small "Thank you"! 52528889810974840 Couple of quick question for the community...

Titanium Backup ---------- Post added at 02:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:06 PM ---------- Oh yeah. Former Dell Streak owner here. Dell is notoriously bad at system updates. The real question is why the hell is there a locked bootloader keeping us *the xda community, from...

Post [Q] root Dell Venue 10 5000 Series

The root apps I installed are AdAway, App Ops, Greenify, Wakelock Detector, Root Explorer and Titanium Backup. I then used Titanium Backup to backup and then uninstall McAffee, Polaris, Evernote, & Audible. There might have been a couple others like Pinyin Input, I can't remember. Basically...

Post [Q] root Dell Venue 10 5000 Series

Is there any update on getting root on the new Venue 10 5050? Perhaps there is something I can pull from the firmware of the device that would aid in getting a proper exploit working to use the tethered CWM... I honestly thought I could deal without root as it is so close to stock Android...

Post [Q] Need help getting S-OFF, stock 5.0.2

I figured it out. So many guides and none of them updated with latested info. I hate using toolkits, but WinDroid Universal Android Toolkit v2.4.exe did the trick.

Thread [Q] Need help getting S-OFF, stock 5.0.2

I have unlocked the bootloader, flashed recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-m8.img, and flashed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip. SuperSU says "no SU binary installed" and SunShine stops at No Root Found! I'm not sure what the next step would be. Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly...

Try using All In One Gestures. I have it set to enable immersive mode by double tapping the status bar.

    Post [ROM][HAMMERHEAD][Marshmallow 6.0.1]Cataclysm for Nexus 5[Jan 05 - Stable]

You are right that the Dev merges his code with stock images and does not build from AOSP. Nexus 5 stock image is 5.0.1, hence Cataclysm is 5.0.1. Atl4ntis describes his process here. That said...

    Post [ROM][HAMMERHEAD][Marshmallow 6.0.1]Cataclysm for Nexus 5[Jan 05 - Stable]

So many requests, and for things that have already been asked and replied... There is a reason every poll thread starts "What Lollipop ROM is your favorite and why is it Cataclysm?" This ROM is a perfect balance of stability with just enough features to pick up where stock leaves off. Wow...
