Post [Kernel] ICS (3.1 and 2.6.39 versions) (V25.5 and V1.1)

Has there been any update to CM9-specific kernels? The one available in the post above (Kernel-ICS-V23-OC1700-fb-CM9_695) worked wonderfully for me until I turned on Wifi. At that point Wifi continually toggled on and off very quickly. Couldn't get it to stop at all. I found one other poster in...

Post [ROM] [nightly] [rc] cm9 tf101

Pretty happy with CM9, but as of yet I've not had any luck with Wifi on anything other than the stock kernel. I tried a few (notably guevor's in this post) but either Wifi simply doesn't turn on, or it flickers quickly between on and off. Anyone found an overclockable kernel that works with Wifi...

Post ASUS TF300 the first Android device to TRULY have 1GB of RAM?

Huge amounts of free RAM is not something nice to see; it's a pointless waste. I guess that misunderstanding is still pervasive in the "OMG tasks are in RAM MUST KILL THEM" community ...

Post Angry Birds Space HD & Premium?

I went with the HD version. One, $2.99 is well worth the time I've gotten out of the Angry Birds series and I'd like to promote further development (I know, it's not like they're not raking in cash). Two, maybe the HD version will actually be something better than the premium after a few updates...

Post ICS - You guys are delusional

Chrome Beta is the tits. Much better than stock or any of the other browsers I've tried. So there's that. I don't know why everyone's in such an uproar over how smooth their launcher scrolling is. I'm more interested in how the apps perform than how pretty it looks when I launch those apps.

Post Beware: Best Buy BF Eee Pads

This is right up The Consumerist's alley. Get a little internet attention. They love Best Buy stories.

Post [Q] How is the app selection on Honeycomb these days... and 4.0..?

You misspelled "marketing." It stuns me that for all the Apple propaganda everywhere you look, you barely see any Android tablet manufacturers advertising. The few ads you see are generally wireless companies trying to sell you their service that happens to come with a tablet. I have a few...

    Post MLB At Bat Tablet

Definitely looks nice. They're pretty clear that it's a "beta" too. I can't complain; we get a free nice-looking app for the WS and hopefully they'll get enough feedback to have a solid tablet app on day 1 of next season. Not a fan of having to buy both; I use the phone app extensively. Not...

Post What is it with the mainstream media?

<petergriffin> You know what grinds my gears? </petergriffin> Every time someone new sees my Transformer, the FIRST words out of their mouth are "oh, is that an iPad?" EVERY time. I guess it just shows how ridiculously successful Apple's marketing department is.

    Post Google Voice Honeycomb Support

I haven't installed this on the TF, but looking at the permissions list on the phone it can "edit SMS or MMS, read SMS or MMS, receive SMS." Was all that about MMS in there before? Never really looked. Still waiting for "receive MMS," heh ...

Post [Q] Music pauses after every song

This started happening after the 3.1 update. If it's that much of a bother, you can always drop down to 3.0.1. It irritates the hell out of me as I use the TF as a music player in the car. I've gotten in the habit of blindly reaching down and tapping the power button twice when a song ends...

Post [Q] How to calibration the accelerometer..?

I had this same problem with my phone. The solution was to spin it rapidly several times on all three axes. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately, this is a lot easier with a phone than a 10" tablet ...

Post What should I use to clean the screen?

Good question since my Skinomi is in shipment. I thought about trying those "electronic equipment wipes" you can buy everywhere that come individually packaged like alcohol wipes. If that doesn't work, I'm open to suggestions too.
