From my observations, in this firmware 4G is displayed only for LTE. I am on AT&T in the US and there is no AWS LTE in my area and I have only seen H+. There are spots with both 21 and 42 and I have not seen the 4G symbol in three days of usage so far.

I am not sure if this was answered but... WIFI/UMA calling for T-Mobile works with the KID radio. I was having issues with the KL1 freezing for 30 seconds or so on the upload arrow flashing, even with full signal bar. KID fixed it in case you are having the same issue.
