Lockscreen preview of text and mails is already in touchwiz you just have to switch it on so it will show you the preview via settings. For quick access to applications long press on the home button will bring you google now and from there you can open your apps easily.

Never happened to me on the S5 yet but it happened for me some times on the nexus 7 2014 while using chrome (only on kitkat). Guess its a general problem that can happen in android since KitKat. Hope google can fix it asap.

I noticed that too - The screen get brighter in a matter of nanoseconds but when I am in a dark environment it takes a minute or two and sometimes it never turns the brightness down. Hope they'll fix that with an update or something soon. Anyway, what I did to go past that is turning down the...

1. Really dark places - Use flashlight. 2. Otherwise - Use stabilization and try hold still while taking the pic.

This is only on the S4. On the S5 there isn't any "Air Gesture" settings under motions and gestures.
