Post Video Guide: How to unlock the Essential Phone Bootloader

Which drivers are you using? I had to download the Google USB Driver and then manually select Bootloader from the the Driver Selection screen in Devices.

    Post Pixel xl vs essential

I just picked up an Essential to replace an HTC 10. For me, I was looking at used Pixel XL's (128GB) and new Essential Phone since they're around the same pricepoint. What came down to it for me was the Snapdragon 835, new/fresh battery, and probably less warranty issues with a brand new...

Post Convert HTC 10 Verizon to Unlock Developer version?

Just wanted to say thanks and share my experiences and success(es). Using this guide I was able to convert my S-OFF'd VZW variant to the Unlocked/Developer without any issue. I did it so I could try out Mint SIM (T-Mobile MVNO) and everything worked as it should. Now that I was ready to...

    Post [ROM][STOCK] 3.18.605.13 | AROMA | ROOT | NO-ROOT | DEBLOAT | OREO

Just installed this yesterday, came from MM edition of this ROM and everything went smoothly. My only hiccup was RUU-ing back to complete stock as I had a complete brainfart and forgot that fastboot is slightly different with HTC devices. Ended up downloading one of the ADB tools from the...

    Thread Buying Unlocked vs Verizon

Since it's possible to get S-Off on both the unlocked version and VZW version of the phone, and you can basically turn an Unlocked into a Verizon version (and vice versa) is there really any reason to choose one over the other if price isn't a factor?

    Post Help improve Verizon compatibility

I just wanted chime in and say I'm also on VZW and considering picking up an OP3. From reading your other thread, as long as I have XLTE/Band 4, I should be able to at least get some use out of the phone, correct? The idea of unlocking Band 13 sounds like a fun challenge I'm willing to try!

Post [FiRMWARE] XT1575 PuRE FiRMWARE aNd STuFF

I don't believe there's actual stock "Verizon" firmware for this phone. For what it's worth, on my MXP that is on VZW, I used the latest 6.0 MPH24.49-18-3 firmware from the OP to bring my phone back to stock.

    Post [ROM][XT1575|XT1572][Aroma]TruPureXMM 2.9 - Fast and Smooth [5-26][MM 6.0]

Does anyone know how the adblocking feature works in this ROM? It's obviously baked in and not an app. I recently reverted to stock and noticed the Adblock Plus standalone app is nowhere close performance wise than what I had running the latest build.

Post [ROM] Flashable Stock/Rooted X1575 6.0 MPHS24.49-18-4 (May security update)

Just wanted to echo the others and say that update 3 killed my cellular on Verizon. I tried flashing an older modern to no avail. Ended up restoring my TXMM backup.
