    Post [KK 4.4.4][ROM]Mackay ROM 4.9.13 (11-Oct-2014)

Take a look at the OP where kasper_h recommends flashing CM9 first, to avoid the possibility of losing IMEI. It's always worthwhile backing up the IMEI, just in case. Here are some links you might find useful: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526478 (study the OP for further...

I'm about to flash Mackay, but have been using CyanAOSP gapps for KitKat 4.4. It has both the contacts and calendar sync adapters. Have a look at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542131 for the download link.

I've hesitated over updating to v4 in view of some of the comments. What happened with your back button? Is that still not working? And are you using any particular kernel?

Despite reported problems with this rom, my experience has been trouble free. kasper_h has produced a new cmc build 0.690 which I am currently trying out.

Governor is greyed out in nstools from playstore. Try the one listed on ts1506's OP here (under 'attached files'): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184578

Am using Mackay kernel 0.613. If you look in the OP you will see that swap is enabled. I haven't felt the need to change defaults, but you will find more information here: Mackay kernel 0.613: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532813 In 'All features...': -Enabled swap & zram...

I think it is mainly to do with the control of the colour setting. CMC is changed from the settings menu: settings -> apps/more -> colour or gamma calibration. settings -> display & lights -> advanced settings -> mDNIe mode I've set my SGS up as per ts1506 post at...

Status 7 error message When upgrading from cm10/10.1 to cm10.2 it is normal to get the 'status 7 error message'. It is required to reboot directly into recovery and re-flash. Details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526478 under 'installation'.

Never thought to try Old Faithful on 1080p videos! So thought I'd give it a quick workout with streamed music videos. These were 1920x1080 and 1440x1080. Data rate was <= 5990kbps. Total bitrate <= 6142kbps. fps <= 29. Audio <= 192kbps. The results were truly amazing! I couldn't fault...

Help! Hi Don't want to spam the thread with needless calls for help, but having soft-bricked my phone some 12 months ago, I thought it best to ask. I'm running stock rom on gt-n700 as shown in the attached picture. Things are not going well, as I find myself uninstalling more and more apps...

I know! Like you I wanted cwm. Then I read this article on TWRP: http://www.addictivetips.com/android/what-is-twrp-how-to-install-use-it-on-android-devices-guide/ Now I wouldn't use anything else! It also allows me to batch flash ROM, GAPPS, and kernel of my choice.

The ROM works fine. I did have a fault with the chip several years ago and sent it back for repair; since then the GPS has worked fine. If you check SGS history, I think you will find that there were many complaints about the GPS.
