Definitely a great app! Just tested it out by sending the "bootanimation" command through adb shell, and then adb reboot. Everything worked well. Very handy :)

Interestingly, trying the status bar mod to remove battery and location icons also removes the clock. I had tried the same mod from the Theme section of xda with the same results (not sure if it's the same file and it's an issue with the file, or if it's an issue with my phone). Anyone else try...

Hidelocbatt.zip seems to hide the clock for me (as well as location/battery icons). Virtuous 2.4. Still appreciated!

This happens on most of my calls too. Sort of unfortunate since my first "hello" is alway pleasant, but by the time they hear me I always sound frustrated because I am repeating myself :)
