IMHO Chances it's a modem issue instead. Based on my practice phone lasts loooong time in airplane mode. No warms, no sudden turnoffs. The only difference is the radio. (N910FXXU1DQF7_N910FXXU1DQE3) However, no complaint here, one can go back to mm or remember the issues fading into the past...
