Thread Z2 Force Variations, which is recommended?

Seen a number of variations of the phone, wonder which is best and why. From a radios aspect looks like Verizon -01 is best having the most CDMA and GSM radios. Verizon has also released the Android 9 which is nice. Next is the Sprint -02 phone, it also has both sets of radios, but not as many...

Thread Z2 Force Factory Screen Protector Removal

Does anyone have instructions or information on the replacement of the factory screen protector? I know Motorola can replace the screen protector and some folks have had it done for free. Does going this route requires any proof of purchase or other requirements. I've seen a youtube video...

    Post Overall love

Do folks still have love for this phone? Any key issues people should be aware of? I heard of a bug causing the battery to drain introduced in an update. Also wanted to know if screen always on is an issue with burn in. Please share any user experience issues you'd consider as a deal breaker.

    Post NEXUS 9 RAM UPGRADE 16Gb (2GB) to 32Gb (4GB)!!

Could you explain or demonstrate how you managed to swap out the memory chip? That itself is an interesting accomplishment. Mike

Post Is it possible to adjust throttle for Stock?

Option: Turn off throttling Only thing I've found for stock is the option to turn off throttling all together. I gave this a try and it does look to work for the most part. I'm able to consistently get Antutu speeds in the 58K range, but the temps are a bit scary. Even with the thermal tape...

Thread Is it possible to adjust throttle for Stock?

Have pogo, want to know if it's possible to throttle stock. Pogo doesn't like root, and the root with magisk isn't something I really want to do. Think pogo may eventually figure a way to detect it too.

Post Use Thermal Paste to Cooling the G3

Not sure why you don't like my suggestion, it's pretty much the same as using a 1mm thick pad. Except you have .5 on the SoC and .5 on the chassis. Yes, I did flatten it some to avoid loss of contact.

Post Use Thermal Paste to Cooling the G3

Yup, it's like a double sided foam tape. I used .5mm and doubled it up. I attached one to the chassis and one to the chip itself. Mike

Post Use Thermal Paste to Cooling the G3

Let us know how it works. BTW, I agree that it's better to use a newer pad. the pads loose their moisture over time and effectiveness. At least I've had that experience with thermal paste.

Post Use Thermal Paste to Cooling the G3

This is what I used https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Thermal-Pad-0-5-Conductivity/dp/B00UYTT3I2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1474587691&sr=8-6&keywords=arctic+thermal+pad Cut to fit, remove clear plastic on both sides to apply.

Post Use Thermal Paste to Cooling the G3

Haven't noticed this issue, I don't have before wi-fi signal readings to be sure, but wifi seems fine. I used a 0.5 mm thermal pad vs 1 mm, however I did double up on the SoC itself. Don't know how you decided to apply the tape. My other thought is it could be related to reassembling the...

    Post G3 Antutu Benchmark

Variations in score due to heat I ran Antutu several times in a row to wear down a new extended battery on the LG3 stock 30e. Scores started at 64k+ and after about 5 straight runs, went down into the 38k range! Each time I ran the benchmark, the scores would lower about 10k. The phone hit...
