Yes same thing I noticed I have note 5 also..but when i switched to note 8 i observed that when i increase or decrease brightness the display acts like flickering when brightness changes,but it is very less in amount, but flickering is there definitely in all note 8 variants that i checked in...

After changing systemui to 280dpi through xposed appsettings System ui look good But i have problem with lockscreen..any help??
