What was the method you used to get root? I tried flashing the permissive boot image that was supplied by sykopompos, but ROM Toolbox is telling me that I don't have root. Can you tell me the error in my ways? Thanks.

Post [ROM] [GPL] [JB 4.3 JWR66Y] [Linaro gcc 4.8] ♦ PURITY ROM ♦ (Maguro) 31/10

Google Voice Search I finally got around to flashing this ROM and I have to say that I really appreciate how snappy it is. However, I do have an issue. This issue has plagued every single non-stock based ROM that I have ever flashed; Google Voice Search ALWAYS force closes and never works...

Post [ROM] [GPL] [JB 4.3 JWR66Y] [Linaro gcc 4.8] ♦ PURITY ROM ♦ (Maguro) 31/10

Google Now Voice Search Good morning, Does anyone know if the Google Now Voice Search works in this ROM? I have experimented with CM10.1 and a couple others and noticed that it does not work which has forced me to go back to a stock rooted ROM. Thanks in advance.

Post CM9 ICS INFO/ Links with GAPPS v11 and Screenshots for your convenience [Alpha 2]

This isn't exactly clear in the instructions for installation. Instead of giving you the ZIP file for the ACME Installer 2, they give you the binary file for it. Like musro stated, just place this file in the same area as the original ACME installer used to install CM7. I noticed this when I...

    Post [ROM][03-MAR][4.0.3] ICS Passion v13.1 - RC1.1 - No Big Update Yet

I just got the 1800 battery a couple weeks ago. I will tell you that there is a huge difference in life as compared to my year and a half old 1500 battery. I stream over an hour of Google Music over Bluetooth to my car stereo in the morning. A few texts, phone calls and email while at work. And...

Post [GUIDE] Written CM9 Install Instructions

Thank you. This was a huge help. Just a note: The ACMEInstaller that you download is a binary file already which means it does not need to be 'extracted' anywhere; just move it to the same directory as your novacom executable.

How can this be happening? I seriously doubt that it's gaining battery life as it's showing unless you have the world's first solar Vibrant. Or maybe it's taking the radio waves out of the air and charging your battery with them!

Try disabling GPS and rebooting. This has worked for me most of the time.

    Post [ROM][03-MAR][4.0.3] ICS Passion v13.1 - RC1.1 - No Big Update Yet

I just flashed 10.6 over 10 and the mute/unmute bug still persists for me. I am not using any of the other kernels, just the standard 10.6. Has anyone else seen the mute/unmute bug disappear since flashing 10.6? Thanks. EDIT: Please disregard. I read the change log and saw that it still...

I have noticed that if you enable GPS and use it, and don't disable GPS and reboot after you are done using it, you will experience heavy battery usage issues. This could be the GpsLocationProvider. CM7 had the same issues. I have good battery life after figuring out that you need to disable GPS...

I was able to flash the battery mods without any issues. Flashed V10. Rebooted. Waited 15 minutes. Rebooted to recovery. Wiped caches, flashed mods. Fixed permissions. Rebooted.

Wow. I am a relatively new convert to ICS (been running this ROM since V8) and I am sincerely impressed by how much has been done even since then. I just flashed V10 and cannot believe how silky smooth it is. Neo, I would like to thank you for your tireless work and commitment to producing a...
