Pressing the task switcher twice does not switch to the previous app, which makes me punch my phone in its "face".

Google Messages on MIUI 12 can send SMS but not MMS. Says "Network is not ready". Only the MIUI Messages app can send MMS. I search on Google for this and find other users reporting the exact same thing, so it's not specific to this rom, just MIUI 12. Any workaround would be great.

This rom seems to be running really good for me. Fingerprint, brightness, android auto are all working. Is there a setting that will make the fingerprint scanner work when the screen is off? Example: screen is off, locked, press finger, screen on and unlocked. Stock MIUI did this. I keep hunting...

Negative. That was the first place I looked. Update: I see what you mean. I flashed a different rom and VoLTE was exactly where you said it would be. It's just not there on the latest version of this one.

How can I turn off VoLTE?

When I move the camera around quickly using any of these versions the screen gets super choppy. When I do the same thing on the MIUI camera it is smooth as expected.

I already set it to the max. Seems like I might have to go back to the old navigation bar.

The settings option to turn off motion photos is also gone in BSG. So I'm stuck with that motion icon on the screen, which doesn't work.
