Well, all I was asking for is an option for this. People respond in their own conversations, so it's useful to do this to maintain continuity (for me). GO SMS pro has this option. However GO also recognizes contact groups, both google's and its own, so group sending is not a problem.

New version does not crash on startup. Thank you very much! 88sms loads messages in a conversation about half a second longer compared to stock JB messenger, which is near instant. Not really a big deal, though would be nice if the delay is reduced.

FC on startup on i777 running JB 4.1.2 I can get to the conversation if I click on the incoming text notification; however trying to switch to the conversations list causes immediate FC.

Running CPU-Z and selecting the "Sensors" tab temporarily fixes this behavior (and other 'stuck' sensors, like ambient light). At least you don't have to reboot. Anyone found a more permanent solution?
