Post [Q] Need root for Asus MEMO Pad 8

For ME581CL See https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79333494&postcount=68 Just spreading the word, I'll probably need it myself in the future some time. Got one of these so cheap I thought it'd be worth a shot. After rooting Debloater 3.90 (installed 4.0, no go, replaced the exe with...

Post V3.90 Debloater(Lets remove all that carrier bloat !! Root not required..)

Ok, the token got old. I had a nice text written here but the internet ate it. To put it shortly, Debloater 4.0, Win10 Pro, rooted Asus Memopad ME581CL running Kitkat 4.4.2, no packets read. Downloaded previous version exe, copied it over the 4.0 exe, works. UI twitches gone, battery life...

Post Asus ME581CL / Downgrade from x.x.77 and root now possible / worldfirst!

I got myself a MeMoPad 8 ME581CL running stock KitKat 4.4.2 build KVT49L_WW_epad-11.8.2.71-20141231 relase-keys. It was somehow f*cked up not being able to receive any OTA or even Google Play store updates. After some intensive googling I found, among others, this thread and it pointed me to...

Post [Guide][Easiest Way]How to Root Xperia Z Android 5.1.1 Without PC and Get SuperSu

Did this. For some reason I decided to try first with Kingroot 4.5. Worked like a charm. Just had to manually remove the Kingroot icon and some residual files. IIRC I have tried this once before, ending up with a bootlooping Z. I think the newer (than 4.5) Kingroots have some nasty traps built...

Post Stuck in boot loop with no usb debugging + can't access recovery mode

Get the PC Companion and use the rescue. It will download the newest official firmware for your device and force flash it. I bought a half dead, bootlooping, red blinking Z1 for a few euros just for fun. Started the companion, studied it a bit, went on according to the instructions given and now...

Post [HOW TO] Fix GPS location/locking to satellites issue

Another approach: if you have a 3rd party backplate, remove it and see if you can get a fix. That did the trick for me and the new fancy back shell is shelved now. No problemos getting myself properly positioned any more.
