This worked perfectly on Australian V30+ running Oreo firmware V20b-AUS-XX OTA update, it did not need to be flashed to EU or HK firmware.

I have just tried to unlock my SS2 running 135 F stock firmware but the cert count was already 0, I edited the image file with 5101 to 60 but still getting cert count of 0. The hex editor shows plenty of zeros above 5000 so guessing there is no key. Is there some way to unlock at this point...

I also suffer from headaches from PWM in displays (as well as other screen factors), and seem to be sensitive to certain phones so am also fussy. From my v30+ testing I have found PWM that I notice, to occur at 41% and lower, so for me this makes the phone usable as I generally set it around...

I noticed the same password step. My guess is the first boot is of the TWRP.img, next step is to boot from the device bootloader, press cancel, then reboot - bootloader to get into that. You will need to cancel again as it prompts for encryption password again. I then followed the steps.
