don't need to wipe again just flash away :) you should not lose anything unless you have changed things like Radio or Kernel. can't help with the other items in your question i'm afraid.

because some of the apps you can't download from Google play e.g Digital Wellbeing; Face Unlock, you can only get them on the Gapps Packages (nano upwards).

yes flash OS then flash Gapps and reboot, later on (hours, days, weeks or months later) you can download a larger Gapps package if you want and flash in TWRP

ARM64; 9.0; Pico. you can always flash a larger package later on (maybe Nano) if you want things like google wellbeing.

yeah none of my 3 pie devices have that option anymore, i have to switch off wifi and internet manually each night to stop notifications coming through waking me up.

i've had this problem since stock rom it will work ok for a few days then wont rotate, have to reboot or boot into recovery to get it to work again The problem started since Android Marshmallow for me, i've been hoping these current updates would "cure" it, but unfortunately not :(

hi Yerner90 installed ROM using the format data method (ie wiped everything), so far everything is working good so thanks again for ROM

If that's the case then i also would look forward to ota's for this build. I've been rooting my phones now for about 5 years and have never been offered ota on any of the unofficial builds that i've had which is what my answer was based on, so i stand corrected thank you for your reply :)

IIRC you can only get ota from LOS official builds

ROM loaded and running with no problems so far so thanks to yener90, also thanks to LumenReaper for starting the whole ball rolling. one thing I noticed is after doing Format data and wiping system, data and the caches i'm re-encrypted, it's not a major problem though, when i do another update...
