I've been using XXKP8 on my i9100T for a couple of weeks now, and my reception has been as good if not better than when I was on DUKF4/DUKJ1. (XXKP8 seems to get better reception that any of the subsequent ICS modems, for me at least).

My phone is a 9100T, originally sourced from Crazy John's; Vodafone branded. Up until recently I was only able to get a usable data connection when using either DUKF4 or DUKJ1 modem, but I am getting as good perhaps slightly better connectivity using the ICS modems. (Currently XXK8, and CM7...

Crazy John's, on ICS: set type to 'default,supl' I've had mine working and had speeds and general connectivity as good as any of the Vodafone specific modems. I'm currently using XXKP8 modem.

All good so far... Nokia 5800XM to Orange San Francisco (ZTE Blade) to SGS2 - between Nov2010 and now.
