Not quite, I use smartpack kernel manager and left it on gaming. That is drain due to cpu running at full speed! On balanced much better..... I went gapps free before micro g was a thing and it is a noticeable difference in both responsiveness and battery, but I've not got time to bugger about...

See attachment, battery is good and deep sleep works!

Download the rom zip from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-orig-develop/jdcteam-optimized-lineageos-16-0-builds-t3858607 Copy the boot.img file from the zip to a convenient location, I used xplore file manager as no need to unzip first. Reboot to twrp and select install -...

I extracted buffcore 10 from lineage pie zip and flashed in twrp. Better battery life than supplied kernel by far.

Mine stops charging on gaming too, and often have to reboot to regain mobile network access. Using guest mode for kids if it may be relevant? Power consumption is worse, my kids do YouTube on guest and 100% to zero has halved over 8.1 (and worse than earlier pie too). Subjective and no logs but...

The bugs described are entirely DUE TO DIRTY FLASHING THE ROM OVER LINEAGE! Because it's the same base, does not make it compatible. System ui crashes and settings issues are due to the inherent differences in the roms you're flashing. Do a clean install, stop being lazy, and it will work. I've...

"EdXposed is currently in Beta stage which means it may still have many issues. Experience can vary across devices/OSes significantly." This.... And if selinux is solvable please post the solution and don't try to provoke a confrontation. Many thanks.

Yep, magisk works fine, xposed not (so far), there's an unofficial version but I'm not chancing it!

What issues are we expecting with selinux permissive? I recall some problems on crdroid oreo before it was rectified but cannot recall the exact issues I faced!

Post [GUIDE] [ROOT] Install a Linux OS alongside almost any Android device [DECEMBER 2017]

Try right clicking in Thunar and opening a root-privileged window ("open root Thunar here" iirc). It won't work. There is a way to set a root password I believe to allow this functionality using the passwd command, not sure of usage though. If you want to manipulate system files of install apps...

May depend on the application, if it requires root to run (synaptic for instance) then it must be started from the command line, ie. "sudo synaptic" will start synaptic, but running it from the applications menu will not.

Yeah, happens on stock too, but it's so random it still makes me think wileyfox have buggered up somewhere on the software front!

Having a similar problem here, but not identical. My touch will randomly freeze up every so often, but a screen off/on sorts it out. I have posted a logcat of this a few pages back but had no advice on the issue, don't have the ability to interpret the logcat myself! ?️?️
