    Post Sound problem

I'm not really worried about exchanging. Amazon is very easy about its exchange policy, at least with the original kindle fire. You have a one year warranty. The 30 day window is for refunds. It probably is a hardware problem. I noticed that the speakers were popping more frequency. I have...

    Thread Sound problem

My speaker would do a popping sound every so often, but this isn't the problem. Recently I have noticed that the device does not output sound all of the time. My alarm didn't go off today, even though the alarm app was working perfectly. When I click preview on alarm app, sometimes it makes...

I rooted yesterday. Got go ex as default launcher, play store, dolphin, etc. No problems yet. Seems faster, if anything.

    Post [ROOT][TOOL]Qemu automated root [09/18/2012]

You need to first make sure Enable ADB is on via Security in the KFHD settings menu. Then I unplugged, re-install drivers, reboot. Then I ran the bat file and it went through a lengthy process of reboots, and, in the end, i was rooted.

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

Most movies on Amazon Instant Prime are in SD. Try to refine the search for HD and stream it to a larger, 1080p TV. I will try and report back whether or not there is a substantial improvement in quality.

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

:crying: Well KFHD has less than half the pixels of a 1080p TV and the pixels are much more dense in terms of ppi(pixels per inch). When you view the video on your KFHD through netflix and the stream is less than 720p due to bandwidth constrictions, it is entirely likely that the picture will...

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

You have to check your bandwidth. Since you're on your KFHD it might be difficult. Netflix 720p requires about 5mbps. You can Google bandwidth test from a PC to check your download speed. If it's less than 5mbps your video won't be 720p...

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

I apologize if my request was not sufficiently clear. What I meant was a picture of the TV via HDMI out of the KFHD with a lens that captures images with a sufficiently high resolution. For now, as it is apparent you have, by your testimony, tested via direct visual experience, I will grant...

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

That is what I stated e.mote. A video was played that was supposedly 1080p. Now the KFHD has to downscale the video to 720p since the resolution of 720p is 1280x720. The KFHD is 1280x800 so it will fit the screen with 80 extra vertical pixels. 1. Either the KFHD is sending the 1080p video...

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

Hello? If the KFHD renders at 720p how does it output at 1080p? Does the processor process at 1080p and downsize to the 720p KFHD or are there two seperate renderings one for tablet and one for HDMI?

    Post Bench

I just benchmarked my 2011 Kindle Fire and it got a 2016 in quadrant. OMAP 4460 is supposed to be 20% faster clock than OMAP 4430(1.2ghz v 1ghz) so I would assume Kindle Fire HD gets 2400ish but that's only hypothetical.

Post [VIDEO] HDMI Output from the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Tablet

If the video on the KFHD is only 720p is it outputting 720p or 1080p to the TV? Do you know if Amazon instant video support 1080p output via KFHD? Thank you. I'm wondering abouf upgrade from KF to KFHD and 720p v 1080p output would make the difference.
