I don't know, but I would like to get rid of this notification if it's not a recommended update, or whether I should update to it.

I'm getting a "ROM Update" notification that says new update available. Do you guys always update? Or is it better to stick with the linked build from last year since it's running fine for me?
I've been noticing that some devices just play better with a rooted stock.
I haven't touched the Nook HD+ in what feels like around 6 months now. Has the touch sensitivity been improved on stock? Any speed improvements? I'm willing to try stock again especially now that the built in security...
I have never reached out to the dev but I don't think GMD Gesture Control works very well with the Nook HD+ for some reason. I applied custom swipe gestures using the letter method and it fails 50% of the time to register it. Sometimes it seems like the screen "sleeps" and only realizes the...
It's crashed a bunch of times for me, usually while typing into the keyboard. It often has a white static stripe on the edge of the screen against a black background and reboots. I am running 1/18.
What do I need to do to have notification panel toggle for Mobile Hotspot? It's not showing up in the full list.
Edit: I did a factory reset and it's showing up now.
Here is how I bricked:
Stockorama v2 with UVMD5 modem => upgraded to S3Rx 3.0 TouchWiz 4.3 + UEMJC => Oh noes! No more HSPA+ (or throttled?) getting max of 2 ~ 4Mbps vs 10Mbps ~ 12Mbps... *grumbles must be modem, let me not read any warnings and go back to Stockorama v2 with UVMD5* =>...
Funny, I just bought an iPad 3. With it jailbroken, it's pretty awesome and a lot of the tweaks feel native. I'm still holding onto my Nook HD+, though, for some kind of breakthrough that'll make it perform just as well as my Nexus 7.
Thanks, alal690! I think he deserves to get some "Thanks", too, but he doesn't have any posts! And thanks to verygreen for providing the tools for alal690 to tweak with, of course!
Coming from Nexus 7 and HP Touchpad (your work is remembered and appreciated there, verygreen!), the Nook HD+ does indeed feel laggy with animation. Then again, they are outputting much less pixels to the screen.
verygreen, I'm sure you notice this lag transitioning between apps. Is this due...
There was a very tiny "pop" sound whenever I pressed on the screen.
I turned the volume down all the way and rebooted and it was still present!
But after unchecking "Touch sounds" option in Settings -> Sound, the tiny pops disappeared. You would've thought that would be the first thing I...
