My stock rom is in zip format, after extraction there's boot, recovery, system, vendor, userdata and others all in img format. So I have both vendor img and system img. With separate partitions. But what I meant was, firmware isn't in system.img but rather vendor.img. So do I have to copy and...

thank u and sorry about the long minutes spent in typing this.. but as you said somewhere there, i guess the firmware was the vendor build type. I cant find firmware and other lib files in system img but they are in vendor img. How do i go about that??

I have been following github thread too. The hex editor concerning libmtkril.so I actually can't edit that as the file opens in unreadable contents. I don't know if there's another special editor for that but notepad++, es file manager and mixplorer open it the same way.. ---------- Post added...

Hello there, I flashed your twrp over the previous yesterday. I really love it, i realized more other partitions are enabled even for backup too... Great... With effect to that, I just realized changing fstab to encryptable or any form of decrypting brings cell network problems. Bars keep going...

thank you very much for this.. there was a huge progress booting pass the decryption unsuccessful page. Its unfortunate i couldnt get sim cards to work. i was about going through all the process again but right after unlocking bootloader, i followed s2k7 post and everything is working so far...

this has so far sustained for an hour and counting. i lost signals ones but after dalvik wipe.. it got back on. i will use it for a while and present a feedback. Thank you. :good::good:

wow that was fast but i flash twrp,,,whether or not i swipe to allow modification,,, i flash the file (patch_uncryptable.zip), i select rm-rf instead of formatting, go to wipe, select format data, type yes and boom..... failed to mount /data (invalid argument) , unable to format to remove...

i appreciate your help so very much but i would rather forward you the files, i believe you know best. however, i have also attached a picture fo files in stock rom... because i can also see ramdisk-recovery.img files in there as well :confused: here is a personal link to the files...
