I uninstalled magisk and took the OTA to p-dp2 and every time I try to fastboot TWRP I get a write failure. I've tried numerous times now with no success. I will try again by flashing the entire IMG this time but I'm curious to see why I can't get TWRP to fastboot with the OTA.

Updated to 7.1.2 may 9. The problem I'm having is NO Volte . Can't talk on the phone and surf the web at the same time. I'm on Verizon. Am I missing something?

Can you expand on this please. I was unaware that twrp could also root the device. If this is the case then I would choose this option since it will do both things we need in one step (root and install recovery)
