I don't have this issue, but if I did I would try using ODIN and go back to stock jelly bean or ice Cream Sandwich and just start all over.

Mobile Odin will flash tar files or img files. I think I used a jellybean kernel that I extracted from the zip ROM file. I just copied the boot. Img file over to the root directory on my phone and use mobile Odin to flash that kernel, and from there I could flash other kernels or regular zip...

I never tried a different dialer, but this is the Tasker setup I used on either slim-i777.5.1.1 Rom or Omni-5.1.1, both are solid Roms by Cyril. It seemed to work okay on calls with the phone. But I had issues with my car's mobile Bluetooth system. At present I'm running slim-4.4.4 build 9.0...

I don't think Rom Manager is compatible with the SGH-I777. Do a Google search on mobile Odin and install the shift kernel again.

Thanks for the information. I couldn't find much info on CM Recovery. Is it possible to make backups and restore on CM Recovery?

Build cm-12.1-20150704-NIGHTLY-i777 Install fine on my sgh-i777. Phone bug still there. I used Tasker to toggle the speaker on and off for incoming calls and it seemed to work ok. Build ran cool and stable for the short time I had it install. Surprised with the Cyanogen Recovery limitations...

I used cyril279’s Basic i777 kernel, built with the Uber 4.8.5 toolchain with TWRP 2.8.6 recovery. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952604210 to get this Rom to boot and run stable on my phone .. I never resolved issues with Cellular network

Yes .. Wifi works .. :) .. But having issues with Cellular network .. not making calls.. Mobile data is more reliable but will lose connection for a short period of time then reconnect.:( Still testing .. I can receive calls but not successful in making a call ..
