If you're planning to use it in your car, ensure the USB port is'nt faulty. The 2013's micro USB is notoriously known to break. Mine is broken, but luckily the 2013 has wireless charging, so I can still charge it with a QI charger.

One big problem with harvesting a display panel from a Note 5 is how Samsung placed the USB flex connector, which makes it extremely difficult to remove without damaging the screen. So, if a unit has a faulty flex connector, which could have been an easy repair if Smasnung placed it with easier...

I would have to say direct from the manufacture. Until all manufactures starts providing websites to check code authentication, it's all a crap shoot.
