See if the lights come on when you put your car's headlights on. There is a setting that changes the behaviour between always on and only on when you turn your headlights on.

Maybe look into the new Intel units with digital out. The people that have them really seem to enjoy them, they can be rooted and they seem to be faster than the FYT and QD units. And of course they are the newest systems available. Do a search on XDA, there is 2 topics on the Intel units.

There is 2 different PX5 units. The FYT and QD. The FYT, which is what this thread is about, does support sleep mode (indefinitely) but the QD units doesn't support sleep at all.

You need to install "GVC Call Handler 4 Joying" from the PlayStore to get voice activated calling to work. Follow the instruction and it should work. Works for me.

All Joying head units use the same connector, so any Joying head unit will plug straight into your current harness. Joying just released new head units with Android 8.1, new CPU's and 4G sim slot integrated in the head unit. Have a look at their website.

I'm sure I saw this before, but I cannot find it now. How do I set the WiFi to go on automatically when acc_on. I'm not exactly sure how to set it up. In xFytTweaker I select ACC_ON: Call method as ? and string to be used ?

You can use either ReadItToMe or Free Notification Reader. Both is available on Google Play Store. ReadItToMe even lets you reply to your messages by voice, but that is a paid feature.

You have a QD unit, not a FYT unit. Get the update from Joying for the QD unit. This thread is not for QD units.

You guys are so lucky. I can't get my HU to root so I cannot enjoy this wonderful mods :(

No luck. Exactly the same outcome. Guess I'll just have to forego rooting my unit for now.
