    Silly question but once I want to move from LOS 13 to LOS 14.1, is there anything special to do besides factory resetting, flashing the 14.1 ROM, then wiping dalvik/cache?

    well boys, I just got the 20s update and it failed, despite me not messing with it whatsoever once I'd gotten 19s on it. I think I'm done with this phone.? if anyone's got the .20s update and they don't mind uploading it, please do so!

    Aw no I must've broken something again :(. Oh well, small price to pay in order to have updates and not have to deal with the constant battery drain the System Update app was doing to my 18S phone. Cheers. EDIT: nope, I'm just stupid. Under Settings > Display, which is under the General section...

    You can remove icons from the main screen with a different launcher, like Nova. You can uninstall apps if you are rooted by using any root uninstaller app - just search "root uninstaller" on the app store; alternatively Titanium Backup also has the ability to freeze/uninstall system apps, though...

    No worries, unrooted and the OTA still fails. I think it's just not meant to be for me, haha. Thanks anyway!

    I was stupid and did not back up the original recovery :(. Learning my lesson the hard way now.
