I can confirm having had this exact problem trying to install V2 using PhilZ Touch and mainline TWRP recoveries. The only one that seems to work properly is MdMower's TWRP 2.7.1.2. Not really sure why CWM and TWRP have never fixed this issue, but many thanks are due to MdMower for addressing it...
